Peter's background is in Business Studies, with a specialisation
in Geographical Information Systems (GIS) and Spatial Information
Management. His expertise also includes the area of transport planning
& modelling, and to this end he has significant experience with
TfL's Railplan and LTS models, as well as the DfT's Planet suite
of models.
Peter has over 15 years experience in these fields, which has
been acquired through a mixture of public sector and private consultancy
roles. His recent roles have included managing a range of transport
planning and policy projects, such as TfL's Sub-Regional Network
Plans (SRNP) and also demand forecasting and appraisal projects,
such Cross River Tram (CRT), which was also for TfL.
Previously, he was responsible for the creation of TfL's CAPITAL
model - a combined GIS and transport modelling tool to measure public
transport accessibility in London. Peter was also responsible for
the scoping and introduction of an enterprise GIS system based around
a MapInfo / Oracle architecture.
Currently, he is managing a team of GIS Analysts providing services
to clients such as Transport for London, NHS PCTs and London Boroughs
for a range of related services.

Prior Experience:
Before joining Jacobs Consultancy Peter worked for Transport for
London in the role of GIS / Spatial Information Manager. He was
also extensively involved in the development of the Railplan model
and associated applications.
