Prior Experience:
Before joining Jacobs Consultancy Geoff undertook a wide
range of transport planning studies throughout the UK including
West Midlands Rail Capacity Study, various studies of new
passenger rail lines, stations and service improvements, Rail
Franchise Advise work, Light rail and Ultra-light rail studies
including due diligence advice to concession companies, Bus
Network and interchange studies, public transport strategy
studies, Bus Park and Ride studies, specialist market research
studies and provided advice regarding transport appraisals
for development schemes.
Before joining the private sector Geoff was Transport Planning
Manager at Centro where he spent 10 years planning, appraising
and securing funding for transport investments including Midland
Metro, Jewellery Line (Rail), Bus Quality Partnerships - including
Line 33, bus stations - including Walsall and West Bromwich,
and rail park and ride schemes. Geoff was responsible for
prioritisation of Centro's Capital Programme and was instrumental
in the development of the West Midlands Balanced Package Approach.
